This jakima is made in another technique. This was a new technique for me. It is called Ley Pallay. It has a warp float that is warped into the system that operates both sheds.
It is fairly fast to weave. And altough it is warped in a rather different way, it all felt suprisingly easy to weave.
The weaving yarn (khaitu) is home spun again.
This post is part of my chronological visual record of what I learned to weave, the Andean way, at Franquemont University. This band I finished on November 20, 2022.
